We stayed in river room room that over looked the pool and river. We can't wait to return.Īvi is a nice 3 star hotel. All in all, this place is quite enjoyable, and a bargain. The Colorado River runs by the property and there is a small beach area with beach huts and (presumably imported) sand. Their motto is that 'the Avi has it all', and I think they are quite correct (There is a golf course, RV park/KOA adjacent and great nearby hiking). It really is in the middle of nowhere, and the views from the window of our room are of the nearby mountains.
The general location of the Avi is quite neat. There is a hot tub, a 'kiddie' pool, and a large-ish S-shaped pool, complete with small waterfall. It's especially nice at night, when the area and water are attractively lit up and most people are inside gambling (for most of the evening there was only one or two other couples). We aren't huge gamblers, so that wasn't a big draw, though we usually go down for a few rounds of penny slots :) The pool area is really nice, and one of our favourite parts. Plus, they are spacious, clean and bright. For about $25 a night, these rooms are a great bargain. We are a young couple, on a tight budget so the Avi is perfect. We were here a couple years ago and loved it so much we drove down from Vegas just to stay here again.
